Eligibility and Guidelines
Central to White-Williams Scholars' mission is to help public high school students stay in school and concentrate on their studies. Students are given stipends to help pay for supplies, books, class dues, food and other school-related expenses.

Following are requirements to be eligible for assistance from White-Williams Scholars:
- Students must be Philadelphia residents in grades 9-12 attending public high schools.
- Students must have all A's and B's in major subjects. Students may have one C, but it must be balanced by an A in another major subject. Students may not have any D's in major subjects.
- Students must show good citizenship demonstrated by student conduct.
- Family income should not exceed the income limits of the free lunch program. Family income includes wages, salaries, Department of Public Assistance (DPA) payments, Social Security payments, pensions, child support, etc. earned by the student and other family members living at home and the contribution of family members not living with the student. Foster children or independent minors are counted independent if they are receiving their own DPA or other support. Current Income Guidelines are available at your high school.
