White-Williams Scholars: The White-Williams Scholars Mural

White-Williams Scholars' New Mural

To emphasize the student focus of our new office, students, along with the help of mural artist Bernie Wilke, designed and painted a new mural that visually reflects their journey through high school.

The Original White-Williams Scholars Mural

In honor of its 200th anniversary, White-Williams Scholars dedicated a mural on the front of William Penn High School at Broad and Master Streets. This beautiful and inspiring mural by Cliff Eubanks celebrates the high academic achievement of generations of Scholars. At the unveiling on May 15, 2000, “Street of Dreams” was covered with a drape upon which 40 White-Williams Scholars had written their dreams.

The mural (pictured above), was made possible by the Philadelphia Department of Recreation's Mural Arts Program with a generous grant from GMAC Mortgage Corporation.
